Orbán stands with Princess Gloria after Antifa arson attack

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has voiced strong solidarity with Princess Gloria von Thurn und Taxis following the devastating arson attack on her family’s historic hunting lodge in Bavaria earlier this month.

The prime minister condemned the assault, blaming far-left extremists and calling for “zero tolerance for such acts of terror.”

Orbán: “Justice must be served”

In a statement shared on X, Orbán said:

“We stand with Princess Gloria von Thurn und Taxis. Her historic hunting lodge was tragically destroyed by Antifa on 6 October after they deliberately ignited fires inside the building. This is exactly why we marked them as a terrorist organisation. Justice must be served: zero tolerance for such acts of terror!”

German police are investigating the blaze, which destroyed much of the centuries-old property. A group claiming affiliation with Antifa has allegedly taken responsibility for the fire, describing it as a “warning” to conservative and Christian figures — an act that authorities are treating as politically motivated arson.

A warning to Europe

As The MEGA Report noted in its earlier coverage, the attack is part of a growing wave of ideological violence targeting conservative, religious, and cultural institutions across Europe. Princess Gloria, a well-known Catholic philanthropist and public defender of traditional values, has long been vilified by left-wing activists.

Orbán’s message goes beyond personal sympathy — it reflects Hungary’s broader position that Antifa-linked violence should be prosecuted as terrorism. Budapest remains one of the few European capitals openly denouncing far-left extremism as a genuine security threat.

Defending Europe’s Christian heritage

For Orbán and his allies across Central Europe, the attack on Princess Gloria symbolizes the moral decay that arises when Western governments tolerate extremist movements in the name of “tolerance.”

The Hungarian leader’s statement reiterates his government’s commitment to defending Europe’s Christian heritage, property rights, and personal safety — values increasingly under attack from radical ideological movements that seek to erase them.

As Orbán put it, justice must be served, and Europe must once again find the courage to call evil by its name.
